Being blessed with great hair has tainted my memory of ever having bad hair days, or ever recalling loosing hair.

For many of us great hair days can be a huge confidence boost. Let's face it, when the hair is in tact it saves us time and makes us look sassy.

Yes, we have all heard by now that we naturally loose hair as we age, yet this is something I am not ready to embrace.

As with all other chronic conditions that I have acquired over the years, I find that many of our problems can be fixed or at least helped greatly with a proper diet and supplements.

So why not eat your way to great hair?

We are what we eat, and hair reacts to our nutrition the same way as our skin or the rest of our body. Many of us are just not getting enough of what we need to keep our hair looking it's best.

A trip to a hip hair dresser can set us back a couple hundred dollars. However, even with all the latest gismos available such as hair treatments, our locks will not shine for more than a day if we are missing the essential vitamins they need.

After loosing a great deal of my hair I found out that generic hair loss is much worse for women who are deficient in iron and those who have low levels of the B vitamins.

What's worse is that nine out of ten women between the ages of 16 to 50 are iron deficient.

Surprisingly these figures are much worse nowadays than for our mothers. The reason? So many of us are on some kind of a health kick, and tend not to eat meat or other iron-rich foods like fresh green leafy vegetables.

We can hardly complain about dull, thinning hair if we're just not giving it the food it needs to be healthy, glossy and thick. So - here's a quick checklist to add to your shopping cart next time you hit the supermarket.

Eat lots of:

* Fresh vegetables - high colored and green leafy
* Non-citrus fruits- natural yogurt
* Cold pressed oils- such as olive oil, flax seed or sesame
* Soy protein- in the form of tofu, soy milk or soy yogurts
* Legumes- peas, beans and lentils
* Whole grains- especially brown rice, oats and buckwheat
* Seeds-sunflower, pumpkin, sesame and linseeds
* Almonds, figs and dates
* Fresh oily fish- like salmon, tuna, herring, pilchards and sardines

Drink:

* Lots of: pure still water to aid your digestive system and eliminate toxins - a sluggish digestion leads to limp, dull or oily hair

Cut down on:

* Dairy (cow's milk) products
* Caffeine (coffee, tea, chocolate, and soda drinks)
* Sugar and salt

If you can alter your diet to include more healthy hair foods - you will be rewarded not only with great looking hair, but loads of energy and glowing skin.

Canon PowerShot SD950 IS Digital Camera

Image quality is great. It is easy to use and feels solid. Images were crisp and generally well exposed and while the housing feels as durable as a solid piece of metal, the lightweight pocket cam is very light weight. The LCD was visible even in bright sunlight and focus was fast in all situations with a negligible shutter delay after focus was established. Images can be corrected manually while viewing photos on the LCD screen. Canon's new Face Detection Technology makes for even easier picture taking moments.

Digital cameras have undergone much advancement in a short period of time and Canon has responded by giving the PowerShot SD950 IS high quality features at a base price. This is a compact camera working with 8.0 Megapixels. Digital camera prices fell quickly so the only thing I don't like is the premium price I paid to get this camera earlier. If you can wait a little bit get it when the price comes down further.

Movie Mode is strictly a 4:3 aspect ratio as I said. The Canon PowerShot SD950 IS Digital Camera can shoot 1,024 x 768 movies at 15 frames per second which is a good enough frame rate and saves card space. Moving your finger around the touch dial brings up a screen overlay of the touch dial layout with a larger display of a control. I didn't find the Touch Dial useful however, and turned off the screen overlay after a few hours of use.

Shutter lag ranged from about one half of a second to one and a half seconds depending on the amount of contrast in the scene. Overall, the SD950 is slightly slower than its lower end cousin the SD870. Shutter delay is negligible while the wait between one full resolution JPEG. The camera is quick to power up with a wait of just a couple of seconds while the rear screen comes to life and the lens barrel fully extends from storage to the body. That will mimic bright and dim shooting conditions respectively. In continuous shooting mode, the SD950 IS fell just short of its fancier cousin the G9, clocking an average of 1.6 frames per second regardless of image size.

Price is a little expensive, but well worth it I think.

How to Change Your Dead Vehicle Battery

For one to change a dead car battery, they first need to establish that it is dead. One of the most obvious symptoms that will tell if the battery is dead or dying is when one turns the ignition keys and the car does not start. At times, a small click will be heard but the car will still not start. This is caused by the starter cylinoid, which tries to engage but perhaps the battery lacks enough power to make the engine turn over. Another symptom is when the headlights of the car do not come on when the car is turned on. If a driver observes any of the above symptoms, they should test the battery using a tester to determine the voltage of the battery. If the voltage is beneath 11 volts, then the driver should consider replacing it. If above this figure, attempts to jumpstart it can be justified. If one establishes that the battery of the car is dead and needs replacement, the following simple steps should be followed.

Make use of a charger. The red cable should be connected to the positive terminal while the black one is connected to the negative one. If the battery has a 'green eye' indicator for charging, only stop charging it when the indicator turns green. If it does not have one, the charger can be disconnected for thirty minutes and the battery voltage checked while the engine is stopped. If the result is 12.6 volts, then the battery is fully charged but if it is 12.3 volts then the battery is only half charged. A multimeter set should be used for a DC voltage with a range of more than 12 volts on a full scale. A charger of 5 Amps usually takes at least eight hours to complete charging the battery. Chargers that are more powerfully are best left for the experts as they can cause the battery to blow up.

The battery terminals should be cleaned during this process. This is because white powder building up on the terminals will prevent current from reaching the starter. It can be cleaned using baking soda and a wet rag as well as sand paper if need be. Be carefully not to short the terminal to a metallic car part. The charging system can be tested using a voltmeter. If it is charging effectively, the voltage will be from 14.0 to 14.5 volts. The current may also be leaking and in the process, causing the battery to discharge. If one suspects that this is the case, check it using the multimeter's current measuring side. To prevent accidents, the positive terminal of the battery should be covered and the negative terminal disconnected. It is worth noting that if the battery is charging well and the discharge current is less than 50 mA then the battery may be worn out and another one may have to be bought. To establish this, the driver can test it at the auto garage.

Just can run and hide but I'm still alive. Nothing i can do to fight back because I'm just an ordinary man not a soldier. I don't know how to use weapon neither gun! I hate the war. I hate the war even in my dream!

If really there is war who will safe us? now you must know who... you can run and you hide but you want to strike back, do you?

Why We Cook

It’s interesting really, all the reasons I can come up with as to why we cook. If you look back into ancient times, people cooked to survive. Would you eat raw buffalo? How determined they were to create a fire by rubbing two sticks together and then making contraptions to create a spit to roast the catch of the day. Back in those days, cooking was a full time job just to get a single meal on the table (did they even have tables?). Surely, if I had similar circumstances, that is to have to live without my 101 kitchen gadgets (Yes, they call me “gadget girl”. In fact, I get kitchen appliances and such as birthday, holiday, even anniversary gifts from my husband each year and my girlfriend yells at him each time. But truly, I asked for these gifts…he wasn’t TRYING to keep me in the kitchen! I don’t do diamonds unless they come in a knife sharpener or something similar. But I digress.

Why else do we cook? Some say they cook to impress others. If you prepare a meal for your girlfriend or boyfriend during courtship, they are sure to be swooned by your culinary skills. I remember when I was dating my husband he would invite me over to his house for an authentic Chinese dinner. He would cut up all the vegetables perfectly, create his marinade, and toss everything in his newly purchased wok. How impressed I was! You don’t only get to a man through his stomach. He certainly got to me by demonstrating his cooking skills. He created my image of the perfect husband.

Here’s a basic reason why we cook, because we need to eat. Another is that we want to be sure we know what our families are actually eating and that they are eating healthy. Sure, we can go out a get a bite to eat at a local fast-food establishment or take the time to be served at a local restaurant, but do you really know what you are getting? Is it really nutritious and healthy? Obesity is becoming one of the major reasons for premature death. If cooking for ourselves to assure a healthier life isn’t reason enough to do it, then I don’t know what is.

Although there are many more reasons why people cook I would like to point out why I believe we “should” cook at home. Cooking is a great way to demonstrate how much we care about those we serve and the great amount of satisfaction it gives us when you know they appreciate your efforts. There are also numerous side benefits to cooking at home two of which are to eat healthier and to spend more time with the family around the dinner table to talk about the day’s events. Studies have shown that families who regularly cook and eat together have happier marriages, improved children’s health, and stronger family ties. Taking time to plan, shop and create a wellrounded, healthy meal is the greatest demonstration of love and devotion. Although I find the unending list of tasks associated with preparing daily meals somewhat daunting at times, I truly enjoy the process. And, after that first taste, if I hear, “Gee Mom this is really good!”…Wow, how great it feels to know the fruits (no pun intended) of my labor are appreciated and that my family is gaining profound benefits.

Positive feedback from those you cook for can provide you with a “can-do” cooking attitude. My grandmother was a constant source of feedback for my culinary creations when I was young which is how I think I got hooked on cooking for others. Once you begin to get that kind of feedback, it’s addictive. You start to challenge yourself by creating even more complex creations time and again. The more they like what you cook, the more you cook. It’s really hard not to want to hear positive comments on each and every dish, which then makes one want to try harder to please. You see where I’m going with this? And, if you know they are really eating well and enjoying these culinary moments, you know you did your best to thwart the bad diet demons.

If you don’t already cook or perhaps you only cook occasionally, you probably haven’t felt the amazing sense of gratification it brings. Today, many of us are time-starved and therefore the best we can do is grab the phone and order take out. But next time, before you think about ordering that mystery food, realize that many recipes today can be completed in 30 minutes or less and that they taste much better! There’s many a cookbook, magazine and TV show to prove it. Simply browse your favorite on-line bookstore or recipe website and I’m sure you will find a gazillion books with 30 minutes in the title.

No time for browsing you say? Okay, here’s a few of my favorite recipes that can be put on the table start to finish in no time. Whoever gets to taste these culinary creations you’ve prepared will no doubt feel special that you took the time (they don’t need to know it didn’t take all day) to create something wonderful for them to eat. I know that once you hear their “oohs and aaaahs”…you too will begin to get hooked on cooking. You will start to realize that cooking can be a pleasure as well as a necessary part of our day.

Instant Messengers are very popular on computers, now with the advancement of cellular technology it has become possible to connect to MSN, Yahoo!, ICQ and other instant messenger services through mobile phones. The internet and Java enabled mobile devices make Mobile Instant Messaging a reality. The only major problems are the small screen and the input of messages as only a few can type in messages very fast. However there are phones with large screens and QWERTY keypads. Here are the few of the free services available today to do this. However keep in mind that you will still be charged by your service provider for the internet usage on your mobile. Agile Messenger the most widely used software for this purpose, however it required Symbian OS and is not a freeware anymore.

WIRELESS VILLAGE:

Most of the new mobile phones come with a built in chat client based on the wireless village technology(technically called OMA IMPS), it is known as “My Friends” on SonyEricsson phones, “My Presence” on Nokia and IM on Motorola phones . It is currently the best option for most phones, but its major drawback is the polling system it is based on. The phone has to connect to the server every few minutes and get the new status of online contacts or get new messages. Therefore the messages are not ‘Instant’, there is some delay between the messages. You can set up a smaller interval for polling but it is still not efficient enough and results in more usage cost.

Although this technology has been around for sometime not many people seem to know about it. Mostly because the phone manufacturers or the cellular service providers do not provide any service which could be used with the client built in on the phones. However there are free services available at www.yamigo.com and www.smartvas.com. The one very big advantage of using this over the other methods is that phones have an option to use this in the background. This means you can run Wireless Village in background and use any other application. The very big disadvantage is that you have to add every person whose online status you wish to be notified of in your Yamigo or SmartVAS contact list as well. This has now become easier for there now is an option which can be used to fetch the contacts automatically.

JABBER:

Jabber technology has been around for sometime, this lets users to connect to multiple instant messenger networks simultaneously. This consists of a server and client. The server stores the usernames and passwords for all networks. You have to login to the server using a jabber client. There are now several Jabber clients available for mobile phones. A very good service especially for mobile phones is available at www.jabber.nu. They have got several builds of their client for different mobiles. However the older phones which have MIDP1.0 would not be able to use most of the jabber clients as they do not have TCP socket support.

E-MESSENGER:

This is the most popular method as all it requires is a phone that support mobile internet. No Java support or anything else is required. All this needs is a WAP browser. The service is available on www.e-messenger.com. However in the mobile you have to enter: mob.e-messenger.net. I have successfully used this on many phones. There are major drawbacks as the login screen would not remember your sign in name. If you have to use something else on your mobile you would have to close the WAP browser. This site is only for MSN, there might be other such sites for other networks.

FUTURE:

It would not take long before a client and server is created so that anyone can run the server on a 24/7 static IP internet connection to which the client would connect. So that users can avoid giving their login information to third parties. Such a client/server application would be made so that the data transfer between the mobile and the server is reduced and mobile internet charges are lower.

LAST WORDS:

The methods I have discussed here are free of charge, you can easily find other commercial solutions but I don’t think it is worth paying for chatting on mobiles, as you don’t get the same experience you get on a computer.

GPS Golf Balls Are Almost Here

As GPS technology gets better and better and smaller and smaller it will be able to be used for many things? For instance at the World Series a baseball hit into the third level will be able to be recorded by GPS as to exactly how far it was hit and it’s trajectory to formulate where it would have actually landed had the stadium been flat. Thus we will be able to tell who was the greatest homerun power house of all times, perhaps even who is on steroids based on their body mass, speed of pitch, GPS data and ‘haptics’ (body movement and form). Wouldn’t it be cool to be watching the World Series on TV and instant information about a homerun appearing on the bottom of the screen? Sounds like a whole new potential betting arena, not only how many homeruns a person will hit, but exactly how far they will hit them?

A football kick would be immediately known the exact yardage, every play near the sidelines would be instantly called in or out of bounds and there would never be any question as to if a football actually broke the goal line. I can hear the referee unions screaming foul already as they will no longer be needed or have jobs? Ouch? Soccer balls, off sides, out of bounds? Yes all possible via GPS data.

With sensors getting smaller and GPS units being used in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles of smaller and smaller size for Micro Air Vehicles and RFID imbedded chips, this technology believe it or not is ready for golf balls as well? All you need is a little imagination. So there you are Tiger Woods with a PDA device in your hands which measures the exactly where the ball is, how far to the next hole, picking up the data from inside the golf ball itself and the flag in the hole. Way-points are displayed also as to where the sand traps are, lakes, edge of fairway and the rough surrounding the green.

The World Think Tank recent discussion and brain storming session digressed from GPS navigational devices to sports and we came up with the idea to put GPS Sensors in golf balls, so you could find your golf ball if you have a nasty slice or heavy winds taking it off course. Part of our discussion also came from another recent think tank discussion on putting GPS sensors on Locusts Swarms in order to track them.

The idea of putting GPS sensors on Locusts is a noble idea, yet who will pay for this technology, as the locust is small and cannot carry much weight and still keep up with the rest of the swarm, which of course would throw off the reading? Our thoughts were to let the golfing community pay for it. After all if the locusts see such a green area of grass they would eat it all up.

As a kid I use to run on the golf course and saw balls way off the ranges and fairways. Some of these golf balls were custom, with people's names on them? Ouch adding insult to injury, I could immediately tell who the bad golfer was? With the new GPS WTT Golf Balls you could never lose your golf balls, because you would know their exact location via a set of satellites and that data would be displayed on your wireless PDA device. This PDA wireless Tracking device would be with you and you could carry it in a zipper pouch on the golf bag or on the steering wheel of your golf cart. Now then on the poles and flags of each hole would be another sensor so when you set the ball on the "T" for the next shot you would see the exact distance.

We went one step further and figured out how to integrate a mini-weather station system on you golf cart. It will be a slight modification of the Climatronics Corporation’s TACMET System. For those who liked to get a work out, it could be integrated into the golf bag with a small external periscope;

A Sarasota Company, Great White Shark Entertainment is already busy installing WiFi and GPS systems such as golf shot distance measurement and course information which includes a Golf Cart mounted system and handheld PDA wireless mobile display. These systems will become great revenue enhancers for Golf Clubs and for the serious golfer who likes all the bells and whistles and has the money to afford them. A future thought along this theme would be to eventually have, thru special internal parts and shape shifting techniques, the ball if it got close would simply roll over to the hole and fall in. This would mean no one would ever have to give them a free put or allow someone to feel bad who fudged the score. This future idea would be great for the player who understands he is not anywhere near a scratch golfer but occasionally might like to play with a few. Or for the player who goes to the course simply to look cool, but has not brains or talent?

Roti means bread in Hindi, Urdu, most other North Indian languages, and Malay. The term "canai" derives either from:

Chennai, a city in India which is formerly known as Madras. Roti canai is presumed to have been introduced by immigrant labour from the Madras region where a similar combination of parotta and dalcha - the accompanying lentil curry - is served. ^[1]
"Channa", a mixture of boiled chickpeas in a spicy gravy from Northern India which it was traditionally served with. However, the roti in Northern India is different from that served in Malaysia. It is more similar to the South Indian parotta which is claimed to be adopted from the Singaporean roti paratha. Roti canai is exactly the same as the roti paratta. MyBedstory: Watching CPL with animal

as i watch the CPL last morning everybody already slept. while i was wacthing tv there was a sound from outside the door. seem like someone was calling out there. OOoOO in the dark of the erly morning...!

Even i was also felt so sleep that time but i have to open my eyes widely to watching Barcelona against Chelsea on semifinal CPL. The sound was still i heard. Then i wake up and open the door.
OOOwwwwh what a nice thing. With green eyes, soft fur and long tale its realy a cute cat.

I know that cat is belong to my neighbour but normaly it's scared to others, to me of coz heheheee. But that morning when i open the door it din't run away but it just sit near me and play with the door coz i sit near the door as i wacthing tv. At least i have a friend to company me watching tv!
